There is an interesting thing that takes place when we read God’s Word – we are often given a key to further understanding in the form of a verse, or a phrase – or even a single word; standing out to us. In some cases it is subtle – the Spirit just puts that little emphasis on it – sometimes it almost jumps off the page – in either case – it is usually key to further understanding.

When it happens, don’t let the opportunity pass – dig – dig in and explore – because the gems are there. Go to your concordance, your Bible study program – the encyclopedia – the dictionary – the internet – search and research – you will find the treasure.

When you do that little key will have opened a door to understanding that you had not expected – and the Word will come to life.
