Before we go to War

Identify your Enemy. And then take some time to think. – or you may very well arrive in a situation you did not bargain for – and for which there is little if any remedy.

Yes – get your brightest

Gather here your best

Waste their substance on misery and

Poverty, the wages freely chosen

Embraced in innocence

But not to war – my brothers

For ‘ere we go to battle

Let us understand

The gifts we have and what we

Intend to spend

And let us set a boundary

Lest we borrow our

Own destruction from the graves

Of the men that we

Decimate and slaughter

And let us choose

The grounds of war wisely

Lest our sanctuaries

Become fields of

Malice and inhumanity
