 When it comes to the point that you have to lock up your fellow man to protect yourself from him - and to protect him from you - and all the most well equipped standard bearers standing armed in the public square are mercenaries - and your prophets and priests are transgressors, and the rich and powerful among you worship idols - and your children and children’s children walk in perdition then lift up the cry of lamentation.

Why sing an anthem?  And who to sing?  Look ye out among you for princes of integrity - or wot? - is there none to stand in public office worthy of holding a banner?; is there no standard bearer?

America, America

God shed His grace on thee

And crown thy good with brotherhood

From sea to shining sea.

America, America

Make thy transformation true

Or else concede to heathen creed

In all you say and do.

Ironic, isn’t it - their favorite show is American Idol - or … is it ironic?

If we are to be consumed with pretense and pride - and the commerce of our souls should be reckoned on false scales - then let us cry aloud with the voice of lamentation - for destruciton has come upon us.

Beware when your nation is ruled by the juvenile - take heed and understand that the integrity of the body politic is reflected in the purpose and deeds of its representatives - we believe that to be true of our doctors and scientists - and we require it of our priests - how can we abandon it in our clerks and governors?
