Deep Waters

For most of us – there will come a time in our journey when we will come face to face with deep waters. – and there have been seasons where entire peoples, or nations – even the world and all its inhabitants – have faced deep waters.

We have entered such a time.

“Pray that your flight be not in winter.” - Jesus of Nazareth

When Jesus admonished his disciples, “But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:” (Matthew 24:20) - He wasn’t so much concerned with the weather.

What He was saying was, “You will have to flee.  There is no doubt about that.”  Your flight from persecution.  Your flight from the horror and terror of destruction.  Your flight to refuge and safety and freedom will occur.  There is no doubt that you will have to flee.

The way that Jesus said it - your flight in not only imminent - it is beyond question.  The only thing that remains is the conditions under which you will flee.

Pray that it is not in winter.
