Man was not made for the Sabbath

“Man was not made for the Sabbath – but the sabbath for man.” – The Carpenter

Mankind, down through the ages – and most recently in nearly every manifestation of government – has clamored for law. From the Sunni & the Shiite – to the socialist, the communist – and the capitalist – everyone wants a set of rules to live by. Guidelines for themselves – and restrictions for their neighbors and friends.

Cameras, DNA, RFID, universal numbers – Dachau and Treblinka revisited – all for the common good.

But how does it all fare for the common man – or those who, in their penury are “below average”?

Not well,

From the commuter who misses the bus – who makes eye contact with the driver who refuses to slow down, open the door – and deliver him safely home to his loved ones – for punctuality and regulation; – to the man and his family evicted by the loan sharks who operate within the law – we are all victims of our own perniciousness.

And then from frailty and failure

We must all begin again.

The heart of the law is mercy – but unless we learn what it means – all efforts – every debate, every legislation – every courtroom proceeding – the judgments and the conclusions are all in vain.

Then “where?” you ask to find our way? The misty morning beckons us to gather at the river’s bank – to contemplate the ebb and flow, the moon, the stars, the rainbow’s glow and all creation comforts us that we will know. – that we will know.

Covenants and Covens

The political leaders of our modern world continue to strive for the placement of international agreements on subjects as diverse as carbon emissions and trade barriers – to the uses of atomic energy – human rights, financial regulations, intellectual piracy and copyright, media access – the list of topics being negotiated is almost endless – and the hammering out of the details of treaties and agreements consumes hours, days, weeks & years of diplomacy. When these efforts fail – more drastic measures are employed – taxes, restrictions, tariffs, public denunciations, sanctions, even war.

We are all made aware of the scope and gravity of these global governance negotiations through the media. These issues are the subjects of movies and music – and are the focus of academic studies and research.

Volumes of material addressing these issues that discuss, explore and comment – and persuade, are added to our collective libraries and archives on a daily basis.

Covenants are at issue in each and every sphere of human endeavor, pursuit, and experience – and they are increasingly being adopted on a supranational level – overshadowing and replacing the force and propriety of local legislation and jurisprudence.

As far as covenants are concerned – we are sailing in open waters on a heretofore uncharted course – and our national identities and personal liberties – however limited or frail – hang in the balance.

But there is another equally significant propagation of understanding and global influence that is taking place – an even more hidden and in some ways more powerful development – covens.

Though covenants can engage and direct mankind’s intellectual and physical realities – covens lay hold on men’s ideals, psyche & thoughts – even unto the subjugation of his independent moral character, his free spirit, and his eternal soul.

Through the influence of covens we are slowly being initiated into the thought processes that will be the compass and sextant of the coming world order. The initiates who embrace these understandings fully will be given special privilege and recognition – and those who reject the teachings and refuse the accompanying rights of passage will be judged miscreants – to be pursued and prosecuted – first with the power of the covenants – and finally with a solution determined by the high priests of the covens themselves – not unlike the final solution embraced and carried out by the Third Reich.

The Next Wave

Surfers know – almost anyone who experiences time/space transcendence knows –

Waves come in sequences – and regardless of the rhythms – sooner or later – there is a “big one”.

Michelangelo was one. So was Edison – and so was Hitler.

The Einsteins and Newtons shine down through many generations – whether it is The Beatles in music – or Mao in managing the multitudes – every sphere of human endeavor has its waves –

In 1993 we did “Countdown to Armageddon” – and we led to the climax that the stage had been set – and the curtain drawn for the final act-

I don’t think we missed the Mark by very far –

But what we may have misunderstood is just how far man would reach in his achievements – and the nature of the Beast at its onset.

We may have looked at the waves in a very analog way – the three dimensions of the digital age – in 1993 – were yet to come.

When you observe the successive waves in an analog manner – the tsunami becomes the most likely outcome – and the incarnation of Evil becomes a predictable manifestation of sanctions and cruelty – and hate – and abomination personified – a mere amplification of present sorrows and grief.

But that is not where we are headed.

The next wave – rather than a continuation – will be a departure.

Like C.S. Lewis’ ever expanding garden – that increases in size as you enter its inner confines – we are on the verge of an explosion of knowledge that is unheard of – yea – scarcely imagined.

The Anti-Christ will not come on the scene as an oppressor – or a demagogue –

No . . . . rather – we will see the intelligence and ingenuity – the very precociousness of the human race – rise up in a way heretofore unimagined – glorious and benevolent – full of grace and understanding – and all a sham.

The next wave will be exhilarating in its portent and its magnitude – and its influences – and its redeeming qualities.

The Son of Perdition will appear – a Saviour and a friend – solving insurmountable problems – and proclaiming a new age – and a new understanding.

We are on the cusp of another explosion of knowledge – the application of which will catapult us into a new age – man as his own Saviour – fulfilled and exonerated.

No longer linear – but exponential. Not even calculus – but quantum mechanics. No longer theory but application. Executable. Repeatable – harnessable.

When the Preacher of Jerusalem set himself to know wisdom and folly – he lamented . . . .

Intrinsic, Inherent – Sensible

Today’s norm is to ignore the obvious truth in favor of the charade – the embellishment, and the fantasy. To do so may be entertaining – a flight of fancy is usually entertaining – at least for a time.

Ignoring reality, though – however appealing or emotionally stimulating – by its very nature has unexpected and often undesirable consequences.

Realities have the unpleasant quality of eventually being exactly what they are – and ignoring them or wistfully expecting their impact on us to be in accordance with our desires – and not in accordance with their intrinsic or inherent qualities – can become a recipe and a formula for disaster.

To ignore reality is a mistake, or worse yet – foolishness, stupidity, idiocy and inanity.

All around us we see those ignoring reality heralded as men and women of understanding and perception. Their views and observations and conclusions are embraced and publicity accepted as insightful, even ground breaking.

Our common sense tells us differently.

We all understand the portent of a consuming fire and a wicked wind – the destructive power of an avalanche, or a landslide – “earthquake, famine, pestilence and sword.”

Walking in a state of ignorance can scarcely deliver us from the consequences; the wages of good and evil – and of sin and death.

The piper must be paid lest the children of Hamlin are ransom for an inescapable debt.

The fallacy of our times is that science and technology have traversed the boundaries and peered through the veils of the building blocks of life – and come to a deep and clear understanding of the mechanics and forces of life itself – to discover and to finally reveal the destiny of the naked ape.

In reality – they are, like foolish children made heady by their daring – reaching out to tickle the Dragon’s tail.

The Inauguration of the 44^th President of the United States of America

If you haven’t read the transcript of the speech that President Barak Obama gave at his inauguration, then you have missed one of the great speeches of all time.

President Obama was quick to affirm and acknowledge what most of us understand by now, that we live in perilous times, times of challenge, times of change – a crisis embodying everything from all out “war, against a far-reaching network of violence and hatred.” to the consequences of “greed and irresponsibility”, and “our collective failure to make hard choices and prepare the nation for a new age.”

He correctly points out the results of this crisis, “Homes have been lost; jobs shed; businesses shuttered. Our health care is too costly; our schools fail too many; and each day brings further evidence that the ways we use energy strengthen our adversaries and threaten our planet.”, and the foreboding future that this crisis herald’s.

He then goes on to challenge us all to rise to the occasion in following the Americans who have gone before us, some of whom paid the ultimate sacrifice of giving their lives for the realization of an American Nation which is “bigger than the sum of our individual ambitions; greater than all the differences of birth or wealth or faction.”

He calls on all of us to rebuild and remake America, both spiritually and physically, in service and sacrifice, in our ingenuity and in our strength, in our determination and in our actions. He calls us with these words, “For they have forgotten what this country has already done; what free men and women can achieve when imagination is joined to common purpose, and necessity to courage.”

He calls on public servants to lead the charge in establishing a government based on principles and integrity. And he calls on all of us to play our part in re-establishing America as the great world leader that it should be; the last defense against tyranny, the upholder of justice, the responsible friend of the needy nations and peoples of the world, and the home of freedom, tolerance and understanding.

He speaks of the average American citizen as being someone who reflects the greatest ethics of all of history when he says, “It is the kindness to take in a stranger when the levees break, the selflessness of workers who would rather cut their hours than see a friend lose their job which sees us through our darkest hours. It is the firefighter’s courage to storm a stairway filled with smoke, but also a parent’s willingness to nurture a child, that finally decides our fate.”

He assures us that this quest and this endeavor are built on everlasting and enduring truths.

“At a moment when the outcome of our revolution was most in doubt, the father of our nation ordered these words be read to the people:

“Let it be told to the future world…that in the depth of winter, when nothing but hope and virtue could survive…that the city and the country, alarmed at one common danger, came forth to meet [it].”

Personally, I cannot argue with any of his proclamations.

I do, however, have some observations.

It is essential that we embrace hope – for without hope of success and hope of prosperity in our mutual endeavors – we will be shackled with the abrasions of our petty differences.

But what of virtue? – and what is virtue in our individual lives, in our families, in our communities, in our businesses, in our institutions, in our public offices, in our government, and in our nation? What indeed is virtue, how do we find it, how do we define it, and how do we keep it and teach it to our children?

You might begin by asking yourself a question about a procedure that takes place in this country on the average of over 4000 times a day – the abortion of an unborn human being. Would you personally consider this to be a virtuous act?

Perhaps your answer will be determined by how you view the object of this procedure. Now ask yourself whether or not you would consider the following case and the judicial rulings to be virtuous.

Judge Dismisses Case Against Pregnant Woman Who Shot Herself in the Stomach and Killed Child

Before dawn on the morning of February 23, 2006, the same winter day that Tammy Skinner felt contractions begin – signaling the arrival of her soon-to-be born baby daughter – the then 22-year-old Tammy couldn’t sleep.
Tammy got dressed and, bringing her handgun with her, drove behind a grocery store into a dark spot. “I sat there for a while and told the Lord that my mind was not right,” Skinner reportedly told a detective.
The first time Tammy pulled the trigger, the gun didn’t fire. The second time Skinner tried to shoot herself in the stomach, the gun didn’t fail. Tammy’s full-term baby girl died as a result of the gun shot wound.
Next Skinner phoned the police from a car dealership and claimed that a man shot her in the stomach and pushed her out of the car. Later, Skinner changed her testimony and said that the baby’s father shot her. Eventually, Tammy confessed to a detective that it wasn’t the first time she had considered killing her unborn child.
According to the Virginia-Pilot, Skinner, now 23, was “charged in Circuit Court with producing an abortion or miscarriage, a felony charge that her attorney argues cannot be used to prosecute a woman who ends her own pregnancy.”
A lower court judge had already thrown out a charge of producing an abortion against Skinner, concluding that the law was not aimed at pregnant mothers who harm themselves or their yet-to-be born children. Yet the case was resurrected this summer when prosecutors went to a grand jury, who directly indicted Tammy Skinner in July.
A jury trial was scheduled for Nov. 2 regarding the case against Skinner.
But today Circuit Court Judge Westbrook Parker heard arguments in Skinner’s case, including a motion to dismiss the case, and decided to drop the felony charge against Tammy Skinner, effectively ending all prosecution against the underprivileged mother of two.
Tammy Skinner’s father has said that his daughter suffered from depression. Tammy, who spoke with Detective T.L. Cooper five days after the fatal shooting, told him she “did not have any choices” and “wanted to harm the baby.”

Remember, our new President has called the country to hope and virtue – and to follow Americans who have gone before us in answering this call to save our nation, and ourselves.

President Obama states that we have failed “to make hard choices and prepare the nation for a new age.”

Are there other difficult choices that we have failed to make regarding our humanity and our dignity – our integrity and our compassion – even our tolerance and acceptance. Have we traded having real virtues for counterfeits and easy solutions?

Real virtues are like anything else that is enduring – they have substance, and they can be defined, understood, even learned and practiced.

Before I continue, let me state that the tragedy mentioned above is no doubt a continual heartache for the family of this mother. Our hearts go out to them for the pain and suffering that they have endured, and will endure.

We can discuss the theory of virtue – but it is in our better interests to confront the issues in such a tragic event to see if we can learn from them, as a society and as individuals.

We all understand that if you take an infant – even just minutes after birth, and use a handgun to end that tiny child’s life – it is without doubt murder. Why then, with only hours to go before her birth, when this child’s life was snuffed out in the same manner – why was that not considered murder by our judicial system? In fact, it was not even considered to be an illegal abortion.

The answer is pretty simple really. If you concluded that this act was murder, then all the third trimester abortions performed in this country (about one every 3 days) would also be murder. Third trimester abortions terminate the life of infants who, when delivered – even under the most difficult circumstances, usually live to become fully functioning and healthy people. Even premature babies born at 24 weeks of gestation have a good chance of surviving. In fact most doctors and hospitals define the age of viability as being about 24 weeks of gestation. A baby aborted at 24 weeks would be considered the beginning of the third trimester.

If these third trimester abortions were considered murder – then you open the door for controversy as to at what point you will consider the pregnancy just a mass of tissue, and at what point you will consider the pregnancy a human being. In America this legal determination has been set at the moment of the child’s full delivery from the womb. That is why, until it was outlawed in 2003, the abortionist could partially deliver the third trimester baby – and then insert scissors and a suction tube into the baby’s brain to complete the operation.

Remember – we are trying to find out here if we are a virtuous nation of people – so let us proceed to find out what virtues are.

If you consult the dictionary – you will find that “virtue” has several meanings. In the sense that we are talking about virtue, and in the way it was used by then General George Washington, and in President Obama’s speech – it has somewhat of a compound meaning – and I would define it as “the capacity to act based on commendable qualities and traits”.

The capacity to act in the manner that will result in the recovery of our nation is based on our “better selves” – and the qualities and traits, although numerous – have for centuries been anchored in some primary virtues.

These might include honesty, integrity, sacrifice, the ability to take the initiative, thoughtfulness, carefulness, promptness, bravery, determination, justice, impartiality, reliability, prudence, trustworthiness, sincerity, and love. All of these are within the grasp of nearly any individual willing to practice and learn them.

There are many more attributes that would be considered virtues worthy of our attention, if we desired to see them acted out in our homes, and in our communities. In fact, these standards of behavior are contagious – and once practiced tend to elicit the participation of those in whom we place our trust such as teachers, doctors, lawyers, public servants, even stock market traders and politicians – and yes, even used car salesmen.

Think about it, look closely at the news – watch the actions of the rich and the famous, and the powerful. Ask yourself as you look around you if there are any among you who walk in virtue. In too many cases, the answer is no.

From gang members joining the Marines for military training to commit crimes on the streets of our cities, to members of the military in foreign lands being found guilty of abuse, rape, even murdering the people they have been sent to liberate and protect – the list goes on and on.

A mayor of a major US city admits that he lied to the public about his illicit sexual relationship with an 18-year-old – whom he also pressured into lying about the relationship to protect himself. He expects to stay in office. We turn on the news to hear of another mass slaughter on our school campuses, or a nearly institutionalized problem of students cheating on college exams. Our sons and daughters are comfortable with gratuitous violence, using prescription drugs to treat every imaginable “sickness” or problem, binge drinking, public sex, and ever increasingly brutal and degrading pornography. We have teachers taking sexual liberties with high school students, and priests using their office and influence for their own personal gratification.

In fact, we have abuses of every sort in every sphere of our daily lives – we live in a nation where virtue is not only scarce, but in many cases under attack by special interest groups and the media.

You may want to ask yourself, “Where are we heading?”

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi said while defending our new president’s economic stimulus package which includes increased monies for contraception and abortion, “Well, the family planning services reduce cost,” Pelosi answered. “They reduce cost. The states are in terrible fiscal budget crises now and part of what we do for children’s health, education and some of those elements are to help the states meet their financial needs. One of those – one of the initiatives you mentioned, the contraception, will reduce costs to the states and to the federal government.”

Are these some of those hard decisions President Obama was talking about in his inaugural address?

You may believe that all of these things are being done for the sake of “children’s health and education”, but all we have to do is to look at history to find a different interpretation of what is taking place. What starts with abortion and contraception can easily evolve into government sanctioned mercy killing, euthanasia, and the elimination of those who are a burden on the State.

We have an outstanding example of the dangers we are facing, and that is the state of affairs in Germany leading up to World War II.

Hitler came to power in Germany when the people were desperate for a redeemer to deliver them from the shame and reproach of the restrictions placed on them at Versailles. Hitler was “pro choice” – and under his government, once abortion was legalized, there were nearly 500,000 abortions a year. But the interests of the State did not stop there – and it wasn’t long before policies of forced sterilization, and the killing of handicapped and hyperactive children were in steady operation as well. It wasn’t a big step from there to the extermination camps.

Believe it or not – all of these programs were considered “humane, safe and legal”. Physicians involved in these programs were called “protectors of the family”. The killing was called “a healing treatment” and in the case of hyperactive children, killing them by lethal injection was known as a “cure”. “The first panel to decide which children would be executed and which were not was called the “Committee for the Scientific Registration of Serious Hereditary and Congenital Diseases.” The first killing centers were called “Children’s Specialty Institutions” and “Therapeutic Convalescent Institutions.”” (source unknown)

Once the State was operating in such a manner – the stage was set for a complete departure from sanity.

Hitler proclaimed a renewed and powerful Germany, calling down the spirits of the greater German people who had gone before. The people of Germany opened their hearts and their minds, but the spirits that they channeled in the euphoria of The Third Reich were anything but noble.

Hitler was fascinated with Wagner – who wrote an opera that Hitler identified with so completely that he had a painting of himself rendered as the hero – Parsifal. In his memoirs as Ambassador from Great Britain to Germany from 1937 to 1939, Nevile Henderson states, “I have alluded to my mission to Berlin as a drama. The year 1937 constituted its orchestral overture, of which the Wagnerian leitmotivs* were the disciplined tramp of armed men, ever louder and more multitudinous, and the ceaseless clank of heavy machinery forging guns and yet bigger guns, tanks and ever heavier tanks, bombers and still more powerful and destructive bombers. It was a somber introduction.” (*an associated melodic phrase or figure that accompanies the reappearance of an idea, person, or situation especially in a Wagnerian music drama – Merriam Webster)

“HITLER WAS ABSOLUTELY HYPNOTISED BY WAGNER’S MUSIC! He was getting the message! He was like a receiver for the message and he played the tune. He added the words and the bombs and the bullets to the tune and brought Hell on Earth!” – DBB

When speaking of Hitler and “the hidden source of his influence over his followers and their complete subservience to him” – Nevile Henderson stated, “Of the facts themselves there was no doubt. He had restored to Germany her self-respect and re-created orderliness out of the chaos and distress which had followed her defeat in 1918. It is true that the price that the Germans had had to pay was a heavy one; namely, complete loss of personal liberty, of independent thought, and of free speech. All were obliged to think, speak, and act as they were told to do or suffer exile or persecution.”

Under Hitler, Germany descended into a darkness that will continue to cast its chilling shadow on every future generation, until a time when mankind has passed away and is forgotten, or until a day of eternal redemption.

President Obama was sworn in on the same Bible that Abraham Lincoln was. He rode to Washington on the same train. He invokes the leadership of past American Presidents and leaders – (like Hillary Clinton with Eleanor Roosevelt) – his relationship with the spirit world and the powerful spirits dwelling there, and his spiritual advisors – may be no better at getting it right for him then Hitler’s were for the people of Germany. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. had a dream. We need to hope and pray that President Barak Obama does not have a nightmare.

It’s Christmas!

First they sold our own festival of the soul to us. – And then they condemned us for our transgression – all the while preparing us for the time in which they would ban any participation in the genuine festival of the soul – Christmas Day.

From browbeating us in public for simply mentioning this high and Holy day for true believers – to the outright persecution of our bodies – even slaughter and death – our society and our Nation – the countries of the Ancient civilizations – and the emerging humanistic social order all proclaimed our expulsion – nay, our eradication; with one voice.

But what is Christmas day – if not the celebration of our coronation and our anointing? - for on this day we celebrate that torment and hate – even death itself, cannot stop our reign.

“For unto you is born this day in the City of David – a Saviour which is Christ the Lord, and ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, and lying in a manger.” – Gabriel the Arch Angel

The voice of an Arch Angel? The sound of a trumpet? Shepherds called as witnesses, and Simeon called to see the Salvation of Israel? Patron saints and Holy Ghost, war in Heaven – Peace on Earth. Signs, and miracles, – and wonders.- robes of righteousness and light. God’s voice heard like thunder – and the Transformation? Bodies sown in earth and tried in fire – raised in glory knowing still; all the scars of battles won – God the Father, Virgin Mary – Holy Spirit – Jesus born.

Saints who visit in the night – bearing messages and gifts – wise men traveling from distant lands – called there by the star of Bethlehem.

Flight to Egypt – life in an obscure village – the very nature of God revealed.

Betrayal, Justice’s mockery – cruel death and borrowed tomb – then life for all eternity.

This birthday that we gather round our families – our friends – our town; is full of mystery and awe – for on this day we celebrate not just His birth – but that the veil has opened for us – Earth’s sojourn is given meaning – souls of those who’ve gone before us destinations understood – and for men of good will, everlasting peace on Earth.

Then what of old St. Nicolas, that bishop once in fettered chains – he who bestowed all his wealth to rescue those in want or those in peril in the sea – or children in distress?

For centuries his story was told to the children – for he had answered Jesus’ call to “follow me.”

Today we taint his memory – for merchants have laid claim to his great soul to use his name for wicked gain.

The present desecration of the Christmas Feast – let us bring it to and end & celebrate again, for “angels we have heard on high” proclaim salvation in His name – Jesus, Christ, Immanuel – the Lord of Love to Rule, and the King of Kings to Reign.

The Coming Destruction

There is hardly anything more desolate – than a deserted marketplace. – Ossian

Asia is the factory – Africa the laboratory – Europe – the Residence; The Middle East – the proving grounds – South America – just a security holding; – a vacation – mysticism & resources; – and America – the marketplace – oh, and Eastern Europe & Russia? – the KGB, of course.

The Islamic terrorists are mere puppets – the Storm Troopers of the Antichrist and His regime. The dogs of war are unleashed – but only until the time that they are not a nuisance; and then they are destroyed.

And the priests of the 1000-year-reign of the Third Reich? – these are the intellectuals, and the followers of the Ancient persuasions – the Ying and the Yang; – the Ascended Masters – the Sorcerers of Illusion, and the Barons of the Merchants – and the Isms.

All around us we see history repeating itself – and all the while we ignore the real meaning of it all – and where it is taking us.

We have seen this movie before – and although we can’t quite remember the outcome of everything – one thing we do know is that somewhere in this script – the marketplace is deserted – save for those who – poor souls, lost their lives as we all scrambled for safety or dove for cover.

Are there any among us who have been immune to the scourges – and the pestilences?

Yet we watch as if we were incapable of any action – or any notion of preparation; isolated in our indulgences – while most of the planet toils in slavery and want – we raise our fiddle to play as the world burns.

The atrocities of our times are too numerous to name or remember – some now just an echo in our thoughts – Sarajevo – Princess Di, Kosovo, Columbine, and Bataan – Charles Manson, JFK, Dresden, Gallipoli – and Flanders Fields.

We are all cast for roles for which we are unprepared – and unstudied – and we will be loathe to play ourselves when the curtain goes up.

The cacophony and shear volume of our stage direction overwhelms us – until we become jittery and full of anticipation – and some dread; for we understand that to fail in our rendition has dire consequences – but we are surrounded on every side with the repeated coaching of our roles – it is a voice that we cannot escape –

Television commercials, financial news, stories of war and catastrophe – our movies and our music – international politics; world bodies – mankind’s dominion and struggles – the rich and the poor – the citizens of the World – the rogues and the terrorists – the good and the bad – and the PLAN – all dictated and repeated for our immediate incorporation in our views and; for the refining of our participation.

And our hope? – that the role we have been given to play does not share in the open displays of inhumanity – nor perish with the “useless eaters” before the curtain call – and that our eager portrayal will be rewarded with our lives – and our loves – and that the children of our love should walk in peace – and in safety from all Evil.

Today as I listened to the radio it was as if all voices were one – all leading us toward the final act in which all of mankind will be weighed in the balances.

All of the behind the scenes work has been done – we have only to gather for the decisive battle – or to endure the last genocide – or to escape at the most remote opportunity – or to kneel in the darkness of the final hiding place.

And we, our own audience to our own performance – we are preparing our costumes – and putting on our make-up – for the curtain is about to go up – the Apocalypse.

There is a “gift” of knowledge – but it is more of a mystical endowment than something you earn through study – although study does play a part in it.  If you don’t know anything at all, then it is pretty hard for the spirit helpers to describe anything to you – you have no knowledge of anything to compare it with – but this doesn’t mean that the basis of the gift of knowledge is the knowledge – the gift is in being given the knowledge of pertinent things – things that are coming upon you.

What kind of temptation did Eve fall for – and for what price would she sell her intimate relationship with God – knowing that once she took the step offered her – that there was no return; only a certain fearful looking for of the judgement of the matter – because the judgement went before the sin;- the pain and shame of her infidelity in violation of her intimacy with God was certain – not for the act – but for the overwhelming love of God, meeting with her in a garden of love, face to face.

“For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.” – Romans 11:29  Paul is talking about the Jews who have not followed the covenant of God – and are fallen away.  He is confident that there will be some of them that will have an awakening, and a repentance – but he leaves this warning to the believer and the believing Jew – “Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear:” – Romans 11:20

Our ability to rationalize and describe the great truths of the world around us, and the spirit world with which we are connected – is pretty limited.  It is possible to take a pretty good shot at expressing some point of view – or to manage your surroundings to produce a certain kind of experience – but to examine the facets of life and learning in such a way as to convey the essence of what they are; and at the same time have your audience understand you – is, with all due respect, challenging.

The heart of the law is mercy, judgement, and faith.  “Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier [matters] of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone. ” Matthew 23:23

Unless we become creatures who are in communication with our Creator – and the sum of our daily affairs is governed by our commending ourselves to him in faith – then we are lacking, and cannot see afar off, “But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins. ” – (Peter the Fisherman)  Peter went on to say, “Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls [to him] in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator. “  – 1 Pe 4:19

If any of you can quote Jack Nicholson in Easy Rider – then you have a better memory than I do – but then, memories tend to be less painful then the present reality.

Do you dare to challenge the status quo – however mean or reprobate? – small minded; self-aggrandizing – making a pilgrimage to dirt and stones and some edifice of patchwork and toil and suffering? – do you dare to be free? – giving what you have – freely giving all – with no expectation – and prospering in the face of adversity and loss and the spoiling of all your goods – nay; the slaughter of your most precious sacrifice by those base and reprobate souls – who without consideration or remorse waste all that is of intrinsic value.

And what of freedom? – is freedom a reality? Brother Sun and Sister Moon – the rainbow and the lover’s song – the hardened heart thus broken and become willing, sacrificial, worthy of the moment when the weak and pitiful and needy cry to him? Do you understand – like Che? – that freedom means that you can come to any point in time or space and have reserves and treasure to distribute to the poor?

Are you an Easy Rider? – or a bore? or worse? – a pitiful and little man consumed with your importance and obsessed with gain and prominence?

We will stand up! – we will raise our anthems and our songs of peace – we will embrace – we will refute your ideologies – we will confront your face and ask you to reflect on all you see when you take time to bathe your eyes in honesty – we will reject your sacraments and your dedications – we will be free to follow our ideals and prosper in our hope and in the light and sanctity of our new nation.

But wot – you say, as you begin to gender strife and hatred – all that’s left within you is to fall upon and rend and tear – no longer even seeing what is there – no longer understanding – blind and gnashing with your teeth – without discretion for the lame or halt – no mercy on the weak – for freedom’s ring is far too loud for you to take – yes, freedom and democracy are words you say but their reality you hate.

You think you can destroy the echo of the song? – it won’t be long before you understand – yes – even see; that stretching forth your hand and raising up the sword against us is futility.

No – this is not the essence of the battle often waged – No, – it is that we never compromise or accept your patronizing, wicked accolades. For by the tongue of praise is freedom sold to slavery – and only by our willing march to cruel bayonet and steel; and standing in the envelope of charity, and giving and proclaiming truth and love, are we kept free.

“Oh, they’re not scared of you – they’re scared of what you represent to them … What you represent to them is freedom … But talkin’ about it and bein’ it is two different things … I mean it’s real hard to be free when you are bought and sold in the marketplace … Of course, don’t ever tell anybody that they’re not free, cause then they gonna get real busy killing and maiming to prove to you that they are – Oh yea, they gonna talk to you and talk to you and talk to you about individual freedom – but they see a free individual it’s gonna scare ‘em … it makes ‘em dangerous …” – George Hanson, Easy Rider 1969

Our history is long; and at so many turns when choices came to open up our understanding and receive the insight of some rare appointment from above – from realms of glory – washed and cleansed and set apart – the tender mercies of a heart of love; instead, man has closed his eyes and ears – withdrawn his hand and let compassion wane – and gone about to build another tower of Babel on the plain of wickedness and disdain for all that’s good – his chosen locked stepped conformity instead of love and light and the exercise of liberty. Freedom is dangerous – you see.

Again, today we face the age old challenge – what will we as free men do? To do nothing and we lose the fight – to stand against the rising tide of what we know is far from right and true – we risk the very freedom that we have – and if we lose? – what then? – can we fail to stand and then behold ourselves and in our hearts acknowledge still that we are men – and free?

For unless we act in freedom then we most certainly cannot believe that we are truly free. If I stand up, will you then stand with me?

And how to stand? – with ranks of fighters all assembled as a band? – or speaking out with tongue, and song, and theater and pen? And then to live and if we must – die for all the freedom that we hold as men, – and free – yes – we are free.

It is my guess that we will no doubt be seeing the entire community of Gloucester, Mass. being raided by the CPS, local sheriff, FBI, etc. for the despicable outbreak of pregnancy amongst teenage girls in the high school there. What kind of school system are they running anyway? I thought underage pregnancy was pretty good proof of statutory rape. Isn’t that why we called the pretty sexy girls “jail bait” when we were in high school?

Read any news articles connected with this, to quote one from Time, “She noted that some of the girls involved had been identified as being at risk of becoming teen mothers as early as sixth grade , when they began to request pregnancy tests in middle school.(note: who would they be requesting pregnancy tests from at that age, these would be 11 year olds!) “What we’ve seen is the girls fit a certain profile,” Todd said. “They’re socially isolated, and they don’t have the support of their families.” The Time article states that ” seven or eight sophomore girls” are involved and presumably pregnant – let’s see, freshman is 9th grade – 14 year olds, so sophomore girls are 15 years old, aren’t they? – it certainly sounds like these girls live in an environment that perpetuates their abuse by – we would suppose if they are pregnant – male members of this community – who we can assume are being “groomed” to abuse these vulnerable girls. However, as of this writing I can find no information regarding the identity of these male perpetrators and any mention of them and their complicity is – should we say, “pregnantly absent.”

Of course the public schools systems response will be to issue condoms and birth control pills – presumably without the knowledge of the parents of these children.

And in the meantime – California courts are trying to decide if homeschooling parents are enemies of the State – as is being decided in Germany where homeschooling parents have been sentenced to 3 months in jail and accused of a crime similar to drunk driving.

In the California case the initial ruling against home schooling stated that ” the trial court had found that “keeping the children at home deprived them of situations where (1) they could interact with people outside the family, (2) there are people who could provide help if something is amiss in the children’s lives, and (3) they could develop emotionally in a broader world than the parents’ ‘cloistered’ setting.”

And we are supposed to believe that the environment that provides this valuable interaction and protection is the public school system? There is case after sordid case, from teen pregnancy, to suicide, drug abuse, violence, mass murder, teacher/student sex, and a pervasive lack of basic educational skills that are the facts of life in far too many public schools – especially in California. According to one website the following authors were all home schooled: Mark Twain, George Bernard Shaw, Irving Berlin, Charles Dickens and C.S. Lewis; as were the following US Presidents: George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, John Quincy Adams, Abraham Lincoln, William Henry Harrison and Theodore F. Roosevelt.

We can only guess how many famous and well adjusted, well educated people were schooled at home – and how many possibly productive lives have been stunted, distorted, and literally cut short in the public school system.
